IQAir HealthPro Plus HEPA Air Purifier

The IQ Air HealthPro Plus Air Purifier is recommended for asthma sufferers and others whose respiratory systems are more sensitive to gaseous lung irritants and allergens.  Their latest model claims to feature ”a quieter, more efficient fan!” and was featured in a recent episode of the ABC show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”

This purifier is pricey indeed, but gets high marks from everyone who takes the time to write a review about it.

This air purifier is amazing- I can’t say enough good things about it! We recently got a cat…which I’m allergic to. I also have asthma. Since getting this air purifier, I can hardly tell there is a cat in the house. I barely ever have allergy symptoms. This is a very high quality machine and well worth the cost. The only negative is that it is loud on the highest setting (speed 6). Since it is programmable, I set it to run on high during the night while we are sleeping and I run it on medium the rest of the day and evening. You can hardly hear it running on speeds 1, 2 or 3.

After two weeks of operation, my wife and I both feel better since we began using the IQAir HealthPro in our bedroom! The unit is very well designed and built. I love the filter life and the monitor. An unanticipated benefit is that the 360 degree air discharge means that there is no noticeable draft, unlike some units that make you feel as though you’re sitting next to a small tornado. It’s also rare today to find a product that is individually tested, with the test results recorded for your unit by hand. I just wish I had found the product before I wasted time trying low-end “name brand” filters from discount stores. Believe me, there are no economies there! We’re already anticipating additional IQAir units for other areas of our house.

I bought the IQAir HealthPro Plus because for two years I have got up in the morning feeling terrible with allergy face, drastically puffy eyes, nose, and even lips. After trying many allergy and sinus medications, and taking them daily, finally gave in and bought this item.

I have only had it for 5 days and already feeling better. No more puffy faced sneezing mornings and have only taken medication once (a very windy day)this week. I thought with our vaulted ceilings, 3 pets, and log house country living (dusty) it would take at least week or more to notice any major improvements. However, there was a noticed difference in our chunky air the first day.

You know when you look into a ray of sunshine how you can see particles floating in the air.? Within 6 hours the floating particles were cut in half even with our tall vaulted ceilings and now i notice virtually no floating particles.Noise: Barely audible on on fan levels 1-3. On 6, the highest fan level, it sounds similar to a window air conditioner.
Portable: so/so, waist high but has castors for rolling and with top handle i can carry upstairs.
